Many of our Christian friends have expressed interest in visiting the Caribbean with their families. Unfortunately for those trying to lead a good Christian life, the thought of going someplace unfamiliar can be a difficult decision. Many people are afraid of what their children might be exposed to, and with good reason. I for one would not want my children exposed to places where nudity, vulgarity, and excessive drinking are common place.
However, while these types of activities do occur at certain Caribbean resorts, there are places where Christian families can enjoy a relaxing vacation together without any of theses worries.
If you are considering a Caribbean vacation, my first suggestion would be Beaches Turks and Caicos. While the price is slightly higher than other Beaches resorts, you will receive much more value and quality for your money. Below are a few reasons why we recommend Beaches Turks and Caicos to fellow Christians.
The Turks and Caicos Islands
- The Islands of Turks and Caicos are currently under Brittish rule and have a fairly conservative government and people. Public nudity is illegal as is any type of pornography.
- The crime rate in Turks and Caicos is extremely low.
- The islands are predominately Christian, with many denominations represented, and churches are plentiful.
Beaches Resorts
- Beaches is one of the best known and most respected brands in Caribbean Travel.
- All of the Beaches Resorts cater to families with younger children. While there are adult and teen activities here, the atmosphere is set for the children. Meaning no wild parties and crazy behavior.
- The music played at Beaches Turks and Caicos is very conservative and family friendly. With the exception of some of the adult only bars. But this is easily avoidable.
- Alcohol free children’s areas, waterparks and pools.
- The resort boast a six diamond rating.

What to expect at the resort.
As I mentioned earlier, the island of Turks and Caicos are fairly conservative. While all the beaches are public, nudity is highly frowned upon, and is likely to get you locked up over night. So unlike other islands like Jamaica, or even Mexico, you just won’t see this kind of activity in public.
Most of the guests are late 20’s to middle aged, traveling as a family, and generally a bit more conservative then the honeymooners visiting the couples or adult only resorts.
Alcohol is served, and the drinking age is 18 in Turks and Caicos. However, ID is required for anyone appearing underage. The resort offers many alcohol free areas, including a huge water park and even a teen nightclub.
We have traveled to many Islands and resorts and throughout the Caribbean and I have to say that this has to be the nicest I have seen. It is elegant, conservative, and absolutely beautiful.
