Paradise Vacations, Islands In The Caribbean

Caribbean Vacations Islands
There is something special about the Caribbean. A feeling that is hard to explain with simple words. A state of mind…that only experience will prove.

Can you feel it?

The hot sun baking the sand. A cooling sea breeze brings soothing relief. Warm ocean waves lapping at your feet. A sense of Tranquility like no where else. The rejuvenation of body and soul.

Can you hear it?

Mother nature is reaching out to you. Inviting you to a quiet place, free of the worries of everyday life. Listen, as the soft, soothing rhythm of the waves, blends harmoniously with the gentle beat of island music in the distance.
Sounds of the Islands – Ocean Waves featuring Bob Marley, “Stir it Up”.

Can you see it?

Pristine white sugar sand beaches, melting into an endless sea of crystal clear, blue and turquois waters, framed by tall swaying palms and lush tropical foliage.

  • Are you looking for a romantic secluded location with few crowds?
  • Are you looking for ultimate adventure and/or want to experience island culture?
  • Do you want a laid back, relaxing honeymoon or a wild adventurous vacation?
  • Is price or distance a determining factor?
  • Are you looking for a pristine unspoiled natural setting or modern day comforts?

    Vacations and Holidays

As with honeymoons, planning a Caribbean vacation or holiday can be equally challenging. Some of the same questions will still apply, however, you will also want to consider the following:

  • What type of vacation are you looking for? Adult Only, Couple Only or Family vacation?
  • What are the ages of any children? Do long travel commutes play a factor?

Travel Times to Caribbean Island Destinations

Many people do not take into account travel time when first looking at Caribbean vacations. Islands, especially the smaller ones, often do not have the flexible flight schedule that most Americans are used to here in the states. In fact some Caribbean Islands may only be serviced by a few airlines, with limited arrival and departure times. Travelers may find that some airlines only have one or two flights arriving and departing each day and may not offer service every day of the week.

Unfortunately the smaller, less traveled Caribbean islands often have very late arrivals and early departures. If you are looking to get the most bang for the buck, a larger airport with flexible schedules, such as Montego Bay in Jamaica, may be you best choice. Arriving mid afternoon and departing late afternoon will provide an addition day of vacation time, as opposed to arriving late evening and departing early morning. When you are paying buy the night, especially at an all inclusive resort, this will make a big difference.

Below is a table of common travel times to different Caribbean islands. Times are approximate, and do not take into account for delays, etc.
