Just got back from my trip to Beaches Negril with my son, daughter-in-law, grand kids, my sister, and a couple of friends. This was my 4th trip to Jamaica and I can’t wait to go again. On my first two trips I stayed at Beaches Boscobel and last year I stayed at Beaches Sandy Bay with my four sisters. This was my first trip to Beaches Negril.
There are many things that I really liked about all these resorts but I think Beaches Negril is my favorite now. The staff is wonderful and could not be more helpful if you needed anything. Whenever you meet one of the staff, no matter who they are they would smile at you and say hello and ask if you needed anything.
I cannot say enough about the food at the resort. If someone goes away from a meal hungry they must be crazy, as there are so many choices to pick from. Every day there are new menu items to pick from. At The Mill resturant, you are never made to feel that you need to eat and move on quickly. The staff lets you sit and relax over your meal or coffee as long as you want. I really enjoyed sitting after breakfast enjoying my coffee and talking with my sister who came along with me this year. The other restaurants on the resort were equally great.
We traveled over to Beaches Sandy Bay for several meals and to meet some of the staff that we knew from our last trip there. Sandy Bay is only a short trip by bus from Beaches Negril and left every 1/2 hour so it was easy to go back and forth whenever we wanted.
There are a lot of activities to keep you busy, or if you want to be lazy, you can just lay around the pool or the beach. My favorite spot was the beach but I really like being able to do just want I wanted to do at my pace.
My grand kids talked me into going on the water slide with them. It was so much fun that I went down it several times. The lazy river was not quite so lazy as I thought it would be, as the current was strong in some places, but it was a lot of fun and I went around it several times with the kids.
We had a great week but it always seems to go by so fast. I am already looking forward to a return visit, as going to Jamaica is always my most relaxed vacations.
